Glacis Utd were the biggest underachievers of the 2012/2013 Premier Division finishing bottom of the league and only survived due to the fact that the GFA were expanding the top flight for the 2013/14 season. Having only won 3 league matches in the entire of the previous season, Glacis will be looking to improve drastically this campaign.

Incoming players for the 13/14 season include the likes of Jason Pusey (who had a spell in the Atletico Madrid youth side), Steffan Cardona (returning from University), Kivan Castle, Adrian Pino, Sergio Mendez, Gibraltar Under 19 Goalkeeper Liam Neale, Gibraltar Regiment members Ashley Rodriguez, Dexter Panzavecchia, Paul Grech and David Gallardo. The team looks physically stronger and fitter than the one that finished the previous season.

Star player and veteran striker Al Greene leads the line up top. With a strong and powerful frame, Al is a match for any striker and despite his advancing years is still a threat for most sides. He is still a prominent figure in the Gibraltar National team. Twitter: @alpaulgreene

Youth prospect: Adrian Pino is one to watch. With his quick feet, he can create a chance out of nothing. For his young age he marshals the midfield with confidence and is the team’s outlet to start attacking moves.

Glacis Utd like to play with a fast and direct passing style of football looking to use their target man up front to incorporate their pacey wingers. Glacis Utd’s aim this season is to achieve a respectable league position and challenge in either of the cup competitions.
